Located on the Santa Cruz waterfront, the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Exploration Center welcomes 150,000 visitors yearly from near and far to one of the nation's most spectacular marine protected areas. For many visitors, this can be their first experience with the ocean. The Exhibits Dept. worked with NOAA and the Sanctuary to reimagine the visitor experience. New and revamped exhibits introduce visitors to the wonders of the Sanctuary and reveal the unseen work of NOAA and their partners. Wherever we live, we are all connected to the ocean—and we need healthy oceans for healthy people and communities.
